COLLABORATIONS
Sogno Di Una Notte Di Mezza Estate
The world premiere of Sogno di una Notte di Mezza Estate is an original Italian opera production, drawing inspiration from William Shakespeare’s comedy, “ A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. The performance was staged in Citta della Pieve and Orvieto, Italy. Rachel Miller, serving as the Costume Designer and Artistic Lead for this production, facilitated and collaborated with a dedicated team of art and design students from the University of the Arts (PA). Together, they created approximately 25 custom-dyed and meticulously fabricated costumes complemented by thoughtfully crafted performance objects. The stage set, designed by Architect, Nandini Bagchee, was intricately brought to life though collaborative efforts in ideation and fabrication.
Sogno di una Notte di Mezza was directed by Karen Saillant, who is also the Director of the International Opera Theatre Company in Philadelphia.
